If anything is worth doing, it's worth doing with pizza. This goes for your average Tuesday lunch break, or your average weekly car wash. So in a weird way, we can totally see the logic behind Bertoni's Brick Oven Pizza and Lounge, your new go-to pizza place located conveniently inside a car wash. Bertoni's is for those moments when you want a little pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, black olives, tomato sauce and extra cheese with your wax and buff. You'll find the winning parlor on a strip mall-laden stretch of Biscayne Blvd, sharing space with the iconic Master Carwash, a spot synonymous with automotive TLC for as far back as we can recall. You'll want to come here on a lazy Sunday afternoon, drop off the keys at the buffing station, settle into one of the richly paisley-ed booths and work your way through a masterfully wood-fired pie. Your date, meanwhile—that's right, we said it—will enjoy sipping a couple of wines by the glass, plus maybe a panini for good measure and some lovingly prepared gelato brought over from Dolce Vita. We predict this will soon be one of the city's premier car-wash pizza lounges. |
