Tao Beach
The Venetian’s cabana-lined pool and club chose to dishonor our nation’s birthday by having their Fourth
of July barbecue today. (It’s going until 3pm, if you’re hungry.) But if you stop by Sunday, you can
celebrate your hard-won freedoms with patriotic anthems from DJ Paul van Dyk and teeming plates of sushi.
American sushi.
Essentials: German Beats, French Champagne, American Spirit
Wet Republic
Sometimes, Independence Day or no, you just want to be in a pool with a Playboy Bunny. Holly Madison and Wet
Republic are happy to oblige—and at the bright-and-early hour of 11am. We’re pretty sure they don’t
have this in Canada.
Essentials: Poolside Blackjack, Girls Next Door, Morning in America
VooDoo Lounge
The Rio’s rooftop spot is tempting patriots with Playboy model Jesse Preston and a burlesque
troupe called Fire-N-Ice—to honor our Founding Fathers’ deep, abiding love of sexy circus performers,
heat and ice cubes.
Essentials: Belly Dancers, Playboy Models, Lady Liberty
Mix Lounge
You should be able to take in two major pyrotechnic displays—Caesars and Mandalay Bay, both at 9pm—from
the outdoor terrace at the Mandalay’s 64th-floor cocktail lounge. Or stay inside and take in the massive
coral-shaped sculpture hanging over the bar—the decorative equivalent of fireworks.
Essentials: Fiery Spectacle, Soaring Heights, Freedom
Nightswimming at XS
You can finish the night off at XS, where the whole nightclub will be emptied out into the pool/den for
Sunday Nightswimming. Any fireworks will be strictly metaphorical, but the cocktails will be very
real.
Essentials: Pool Clubbing, Splash Zone, Naval Warfare
