While other neighborhoods get painted red, New York's middle ground just eats and works. Here to bring a little MPD to Midtown, and satisfy your craving for a three-story burger-joint-meets-nightclub-meets-pool hall in Midtown, is the new Pop Burger. Building upon the downtown spot's Warhol/mod interior, the new Pop Burger takes the scene to a new level. Literally. Downtown's one floor layout has been replaced with three floors with three objectives: Eat, lounge and shoot (pool). Enter on the first floor and you'll be immersed in an over-the-top (but innocent enough) burger stand. Perfect for lunch, but to really get the pop out of your burger, go a little bit later, grab a red banquette near the DJ booth on the 2nd floor and toast to the burger world's happy embrace of bottle service (McBottle service, anyone?). If you're looking for something a little more...recreational, book the corner banquette on the third floor that overlooks the street below. In prime proximity to the pool table, and yet conveniently tucked behind a wall, you'll be free to savor your sliders with cocktails (like that old classic the Pink Panty Pull Down) and a little 9-ball. Which go about as well as fries and a shake. |
