This New Hotel Just Wants You to Play

Foosball, 24/7 Tacos and a Bit of Consensual Peeping in River North

Welcome to Moxy Hotel, where tacos are served 24/7, voyeurism is occasionally encouraged and you're blessed with a gratis cocktail upon check-in.

Basically... good hotel.

It's open now on LaSalle, and you're going to want to check it out immediately.

The giant, buzzing lobby/bar dubbed the Living Room is the social hub of the place. It's got shuffleboard, lounge chairs and a cozy corner library for you to have your way with while you're not grabbing a drink or feasting on thick-cut jalapeño bacon tacos from Zombie Taco, their food truck-inspired concept.

So that's all fun. But it's also got its own podcast booth which hosts local podcasters. And a covered patio for those lingering summertime nights. And rooms. This hotel's got rooms.

And those rooms have everything you need and nothing more. The subway-tiled shower is right next to the bed. There's no closet (just hangers and a rack next to the TV). Muted grey walls preside over old-school telephones. You get the idea.

But if you're feeling a bit more playful, opt for a room in the "Inner Circle." A select number of rooms face one another on the inside section of the hotel overlooking a conceptual Adam and Eve art installation. Guests then have the option to leave their curtains open and communicate with/look at one another from across the way. They even provide you with a light box to send messages to other hotel guests within your field of vision.

We trust you can figure things out from there.
