Fancy Seeing You Again, Ladybird

Vegetarian favorite Ladybird is back. This time, with new digs in the East Village, musician-author-activist Moby as a partner, and a two-time Michelin Star Chef consulting in the kitchen. Expect chardonnay fondue, caramelized artichoke hearts and blood orange-hibiscus-champagne cocktails.

Now open, Ladybird, 111 East 7th St (between 1st Ave and Ave A), 917-261-5524

THE MIDNIGHT SCREENINGS

Late-Night Anime and Interesting Sundaes

Show up to Nitehawk just before midnight this weekend for a 35mm showing of Robot Carnival, an anthology film featuring nine shorts focused on robotics and artificial intelligence, and the first showing in the theater's Anime After Dark series. And since this is Nitehawk, if the urge for a peanut butter cookie-strawberry preserves topped sundae and/or frozen jalapeño tequila-passion fruit cocktail hits mid-screening, you can make that happen.

Ramen Lovers Everywhere, Rejoice
THE FIVE DOLLAR RAMEN

Ramen Lovers Everywhere, Rejoice

This Friday through Sunday, E.A.K. Ramen (you know the place) will be serving up bowls of their signature ramen for just five bucks. If you haven't yet been, they take a blend of Fukuoka-style tonkotsu and Tokyo-style soy sauce broths—then add things like pork chashu, seasoned egg, and roasted umami garlic oil to the mix. You'll have a half hour to down your soup and a couple $3 beers. We have faith in you.

Sep 8-Sep 10, $5, E.A.K. Ramen, 469 6th Ave (between 11th and 12th), 646-863-2027

Next Monday
Altering Reality Via Your Ears
THE SOUND BATH

Altering Reality Via Your Ears

The evening will start with an introduction to sound as a healing and transformative tool. It'll continue with a live sound experience using sound-healing instruments. It'll continue on with a Q&A session, and end with you knowing way more about both sound and using our own curiosity to further awareness than you did before.
